Less than one week after the release of Rails 2.1, was launched in Brazil the first book describing all the new features of this release.
After the launch of the book in Portuguese, the Brazilian community united to translate the book into English.
Done! A gift from all Brazilian Railers to the international community.

Mais uma vez estamos fazendo bonito…
Congratulations for all! We are the best!
Congratulations for all Brazilian Railers! And a special thanks for Carlos Brando and to Marcos Tapajós who made the book.
It is amazing to be part of this community, i`m very proud of it.
This is sinergy! Or in Why’s words: cartoon foxes =P

Thanks to everyone for this!
Thanks
Thanks very much
Thanks for the great work, guys.
Don`t forget to recomend all the translators!
Oi!!
Great work guys! =)
You really rock!
The changed behavior of ActiveRecord :include is VERY worrying. I use Oracle and work with massive datasets in rails and this will almost surely slow things down. I hope there is a way to use the old style queries.
Thankyou
Could someone tell me the license of this book? Could I print it? I want to print it through lulu.com

Muito obrigado por tudo o seu trabalho! The english-speaking community is EXTREMELY thankful for all your hard work.
(pretty awesome that Brasil is so full of such talented rails hackers … that makes me happy)
Thanks a lot for the great job!
Hello,
first, thanks for the pdf. But am I the only one where the search inside the pdf doens’t work? Mac 10.5.2 with “preview”.
Very good job. I will mention it on our blogs too.
Massimo, thanks!
Thank you for your time and effort, guys. This will be really useful, I am downloading this now.
Excelente trabajo, felicitaciones. Toda la comunidad te lo agradece.
Great work guys! It’s awesome to have all this in one place. Huge help! I for one did not know about the eager loading change, thanks for pointing that out!
typo on page 15: the named_scope method is proxy_options, but it’s called as scope_options in the code sample.
Slight correction about migrations on page 31: later migrations aren’t rolled back if an earlier migration is added. Only the smaller migration is invoked.
Thank you for the effort in both putting this together and the translation into English.
Very useful, concise guide that will make it easy to quickly use some of these great new features.
Thanks a lot to the Brazilian Rails community for the hard work!

Thanks.
Thanks!
Thanks guys..great work…..
Thank you, friends, for your sharing your ideas
really useful, thanks for the work Carlos.
Search for thousands of ebooks
There is something wrong in the English Version that you cannot search. I found that the in the text, each letter is followed by a space, then a carriage return, then the next letter. So to search for the word “find” I first use a text editor to type in:
f
i
n
d
then I copy it and paste it into the search box of Skim. Annoying yes. But a good resource never the less
MagicSeth,
Yes, you’re right, this book has this problem. I am writing a new book and fix this already yet.
Thank you!
